This will be determined by your individual provider.  Each provider has different office hours.  We will try our best to find a convenient time for both you and the provider to schedule your sessions.  Our office hours that you can reach us by phone are M-F 9-5.  If there is no answer, please leave a detailed message.  If the call is an emergency please hang up and call 911.

Yes! Providers at Refuge Counseling are credentialed on numerous insurance panels.  Please provide us with your insurance information when you schedule your first appointment, and we can quickly verify if your insurance will cover your sessions. Rates & Insurance

At this time we work with adolescents, and adults.   We currently are not taking clients under the age of 10.

Yes!  You do not have to have insurance to access our services.

This is up to each individual provider, so ask your provider if this is a need you may have.  Our counselors usually allot a certain number of spaces for sliding scale needs.

A first counseling session is often referred to as an intake session.  This means we will be gathering lots of information about your presenting problem, concerns, and how we can best help you!  We know that taking the first step to enter counseling can be anxiety inducing so we are here to guide you through that process.

This varies for every client and depends on the needs you present with.   Counseling is not designed to be forever so we will continually dialogue about what is working and/or not working in the counseling process.   The decision to end counseling is made by BOTH client and clinician. We will never push you out the door !

YES! All telehealth sessions through your VALANT patient portal are HIPPA compliant. 

Refuge Counseling offers both in-person and telehealth sessions.
