This is up to each individual provider, so ask your provider if this is a need you may have.  Our counselors usually allot a certain number of spaces for sliding scale needs.

A first counseling session is often referred to as an intake session.  This means we will be gathering lots of information about your presenting problem, concerns, and how we can best help you!  We know that taking the first step to enter counseling can be anxiety inducing so we are here to guide you through that process.

This varies for every client and depends on the needs you present with.   Counseling is not designed to be forever so we will continually dialogue about what is working and/or not working in the counseling process.   The decision to end counseling is made by BOTH client and clinician. We will never push you out the door !
